blueAlliance IT gives independently managed tech companies the brainpower, muscle and capital to strengthen offerings, streamline operations and scale.

CINCINNATI–(BUSINESS WIRE)–blueAlliance IT – an investment and growth platform for technology businesses – has formed an exclusive collaboration that will enable managed service providers (MSPs) and other early tech world trailblazers to compete and grow in the ever-evolving, fast-paced IT industry.

The unique venture was formed by three successful entrepreneurs whose IT businesses are among blueAlliance IT’s founding partners, which include Path Forward IT, BECA and Skynet Innovations. At the time of launch, blueAlliance IT already includes eight partner companies and multiple companies under consideration.

Nick Recker, CEO of Path Forward and the impetus behind the collaborative venture, founded blueAlliance IT as a solution to an ever-expanding challenge faced by small- to mid-sized MSPs – keeping local IT relationships intact while delivering the enterprise-level service and protection demanded by today’s businesses.

“Every aspect of our lives is vastly different today versus even just 10 years ago thanks to technology, and businesses need to not only ‘keep up’ but capitalize on the innovations on the horizon,” Recker explains. “The blueAlliance IT growth platform provides partners with the specialized capabilities, enterprise-level support and capital needed to stay relevant and keep their clients at the forefront of the latest innovations and advancements in cybersecurity.”

Mike Estep, president of founding partner BECA, will lead blueAlliance IT as its CEO. He brings deep knowledge of technology trends and data protection to the company, having served on advisory boards for companies like Microsoft, WatchGuard, Webroot and NetWrix, He is an active member of CyberNation and a board member of Infragard, a private-sector group working with the FBI to protect the data of private and public companies.

Estep notes that the draw and differentiator of blueAlliance IT are its foundation and its focus. “There are a lot of opportunities for independent IT companies to ‘cash out’ and become absorbed by a large, private equity-led network. That’s not us! blueAlliance IT is led by tech entrepreneurs and seeks to partner with independently managed companies and bolster their brands, client base and talent.”

blueAlliance IT partners can extend to their clients 24/7/365 access to a national rapid response team and specialized experts in cybersecurity and data management. It offers shared services such as HR, finance, recruitment and more. It also equips partners with growth-focused tools and resources, including sales, marketing, CIO consultation and strategic planning services.

blueAlliance IT COO Shaun Sexton brought founding partner Skynet Innovations on board to grow his team and his business. “blueAlliance IT is enabling the Skynet team and brand to scale faster,” Sexton says. “It eliminates many of the complexities of small business ownership and removes the barriers inhibiting growth.” Sexton credits several recent Skynet new client acquisitions to its ability to offer seamless access to blueAlliance IT resources, including a deep bench of IT engineers and a nationally staffed, Level 1 rapid response team.
