30-Year Military Veteran Dr. Creamer Recruited to Research, Identify & Develop Programs That Improve Access to Healthcare Among Veterans

ST. LOUIS–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Visory Health, a simple, patient-first platform that provides lower prices on prescriptions, announces the appointment of highly decorated Army Colonel Dr. Cheryl Creamer as the company’s Chief Clinical Officer. In this pivotal role, Dr. Creamer will spearhead the company’s efforts to research, identify and support vulnerable communities with health disparities, with a special focus on Veterans’ healthcare needs.

Veterans often face significant challenges when it comes to accessing healthcare, particularly in terms of mental health support and prescription medications. According to RAND research, only about half of all veterans who need mental health care ever receive it due to a series of roadblocks. The intricate process of navigating the Veterans Health Administration system, coupled with the administrative hurdles of medication procurement, can be overwhelming and directly impacts the overall health of veterans. Dr. Creamer will leverage her expertise to develop new programs designed to serve the unique healthcare needs of the Veteran community, ultimately improving their access to essential medications.

“We remain focused on expanding our reach across the nation for consumers to afford essential medications and close the gap in health disparities,” said Susan Lang, CEO and Founder of Visory Health. “I am thrilled to have Dr. Creamer join the team and know she will continue to serve as an invaluable team member as we accelerate our mission of enhancing the well-being of communities.”

“I am truly honored to be part of a company dedicated to making a meaningful difference in the lives of underserved communities, especially Veterans,” said Dr. Creamer. “As we approach Veteran’s Day, I am proud to be on a team that’s putting Veterans first and addressing their unique healthcare needs.”

With a remarkable career spanning over 30 years, Dr. Creamer spent much of that time actively deployed, including serving as the Chief of the Army Nurse Corps Branch at the Human Resource Command. Dr. Creamer brings unmatched expertise, leadership and compassion to Visory Health, positioned as a liaison between Veterans and affordable medications. Her extensive background in healthcare, combined with her commitment to enhancing service delivery, aligns with the company’s core set of values of empowerment, care without compromise, courage, compassion and respect.

Visory Health is the only prescription savings program boldly confronting the financial hardships of prescriptions, which disproportionately impact women, caregivers, veterans and underserved communities.
