DES MOINES, Iowa–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Clean energy consulting, auditing, and advisory firm, EcoEngineers, has announced the addition of Laith Amin to the executive team as vice president, growth and strategic development. Amin brings more than 20 years of international experience driving transformation and growth through business development, account management, sales, and strategy with an emphasis on decarbonization.

Amin has a proven track record in the development of new markets, products, and technologies to create differentiation and margin lift. He has worked with the world’s leading energy and natural resource companies to address scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions through the development and application of innovative approaches such as blockchain, access to voluntary carbon markets, and the development of monitoring reporting and verification.

Most recently, Amin worked with global mining company Rio Tinto to develop innovative low carbon value propositions and architect solutions to visualize carbon reduction in automotive supply chains. In a previous role as global head of Carbon Capture and Storage (CCUS) at DNV, he built a high-growth global CCUS venture, also addressing carbon dioxide removal (CDR), and bioenergy with carbon capture and storage (BECCS) opportunity. Previously, at Worley’s Digital Unit, he led the products and technology group globally, covering areas such as methane emissions reduction and digital transformation.

“The industry is in an exciting phase of transformation,” said Amin. “I’m eager to share my expertise to help Eco’s clients accelerate the realization of their ESG goals. Step change in decarbonization is possible when we work together, and believe that no other goal could be more important.”

With a career marked by outstanding financial results and leadership, Amin’s experience aligns with Eco’s own ambitious growth goals, and his proven track record in business development and innovation combined with key C-level relationships uniquely position him to spearhead initiatives that will strengthen Eco’s standing as a leader in the energy transition.

“We are thrilled to have Laith join our team,” said Shashi Menon, CEO of EcoEngineers. “His extensive background in driving growth and innovation, particularly in the fields of decarbonization and digitalization, will be invaluable as we continue to expand our reach and impact in clean energy. His personal values of innovation, accountability, collaboration, and transparency are in perfect harmony with the core values of Eco.”

Amin holds a master’s in business administration from Henley Management College, UK, and a BA (Hons.) in economics from Leicester University.
