The Open Banking provider has announced a partnership with the UK charity, letting donors make payments to Shelter via Citizen.
Citizen helps merchants offer cardless payments easily to their customers. The platform uses Open Banking to push payments directly from customer to merchant accounts.
These payments settle instantly and cost the merchant significantly less than card-based payment methods.
Citizen also removes significant pain-points from the payer journey, offering a seamless user experience. With no need to enter card details, payments via Citizen are as simple as selecting a bank account and approving payment in their bank’s app.
