Cybercrime

Cybercrime is rising at an exponential rate. People are losing critical data and facing great trouble due to the ongoing threat from hackers. Some of you might blame the internet. But when it comes to the greater good, we can’t avoid the fact, the internet has become one of the most important aspects of our life. So, how do we deal with the hackers in your society and fight against cybercrime? Let’s learn more.

Underage hackers

If you do some research, you will find many hackers under 18 years of age. It’s very hard for the local law agencies to determine what to do with them. Most of the time, they serve in jail for a short period eventually they came out with more confidence. Instead of doing this, we might try the psychological development process. However, this is a very lengthy process and the victim might not feel comfortable with such an approach.

Negligence of users

The users are getting used to the fast-paced life and they are accessing critical information without thinking about safety. They often logged in to the phishing sites and end up giving up the most crucial information like credit card details, social security numbers, etc. But if you use the best antivirus like Bitdefender, you won’t have to face such problems. Most of the time, the antivirus alerts the users about the potential phishing sites. So you can easily close the tab and save your data.

Insecure internet connection

People are always thinking that hackers are smart. But why don’t we become a little bit smart and become a major headache for the hackers? Just by securing our internet connection, we can easily eliminate lots of hacking threats. Though some of you might not have any idea about securing the internet connecting it’s a very simple process. Use the default login credential of the routers and you are good to go. Some of the advanced routers have in-built firmware functions. Make sure you enable these features. Try to disable WPS features since it often helps the hackers to access to the internet.

Educate the youth

To deal with cybercrime, we need to educate our youth. To be honest the term hacker is often considered to be the name tag for the genius. Instead of that, if it becomes the name tag of the thief, the number of hackers will go down in our society. We need to educate in a very precise way and the young generation knows why hacking is bad. We need to provide more job opportunities for hackers so that they feel the urge to earn money legitimately. Though it will take the time it’s never too late to take a leap faith to change the world.
