CBRE launches Host Connect mobile app focused on connectivity and safe return to work

CBRE today announced the launch of Host Connect, a new mobile application which supports employees and employers—as well as landlords and tenants—in the gradual return to the workplace.

With government stay-at-home restrictions beginning to lift across the country, Host Connect offers features that help companies and building owners support a connected, safe and healthy workplace with key features such as re-entry readiness checks.

CBRE Director of Client Solutions, Suzette Lamont said companies could use the app to enable their back to the workplace strategy. For example, Host Connect gives users easy access to their office or building with touchless entry, eliminating the need for a physical badge or key.

To enable social distancing, occupancy tracking tools offer employers and building owners data on how many individuals have entered their workplace or property. Other features include registration and attendance for virtual events; curated content and perks; and news, podcasts and other materials about maintaining normalcy during a public health crisis, such as tips for stress reduction when working from home.

“This ongoing crisis has placed even greater importance on fast and efficient communications, and facilitating virtual, touchless interactions,” said Amanda Steele, CBRE Head of Property Management.

“Host Connect was initially created for CBRE to communicate efficiently with our own employees, across hundreds of locations, and help manage the careful transition back to the workplace.”

Host Connect is based on CBRE’s proprietary Host platform, which enables critical “Return to Work” functionality that employers and building owners can deploy for a single location/building or for an entire portfolio of locations/properties.

The Host Connect offering is an entry level opportunity to enjoy the benefits of Host Building—the gold plated universal remote control—connecting people and place in the workplace and at home.
